That we had to leave. Everything was great, really perfect! The owner was a wonderful warming woman, like a real mom, that took care of everyone with all her love! Will definitely come back real soon! The Aprodite Hotel is in the most beautiful location and we were greeted by the most wonderful host. Our room was gorgeous and way more modern than we had expected. But it really was the fantastic staff and the stunning location that stole our hearts. The beach is the most beautiful and the water even in early May was a joy to swim and just sit beside.
Truly a special place.
Nothing not to like about this property. Perhaps a little expensive compared to other properties in the vicinity, but worth it in my view. Very friendly, kind and helpful staff. Prime location with amazing sea view from the terrace. Coffee surprisingly good. It would have been good to have had a kettle in the room but we didnt ask for one so possibly they do provide if requested.
The staff were excellent. Nothing was too much trouble for the owner of the property and made us very welcome. The location is amazing. Rooms are really pretty basic. Nice area with beautiful scenery and close to great restaurants in Latchi. Hotel staff and Gregoria were very pleasant and helpfulm. Not a big issue, but just add some shower gel in the rooms, instead of a bar of soap. Excellent breakfast. Excellent location. Family hotel, you feel at home and on holidays.
Superior rooms are great, with excellent airconditioning and very spacious. Good recommendations of the staff. WiFi was really spotty and slow. This was a great place to stay. The hotel was in a perfect location for a getaway to disconnect. Right on the beach, the restaurant where breakfast is also served had a perfect view of the ocean.
The rooms were clean and modern with a beautiful balcony. Windows opened up fully so it felt like we were living outside.
“Visiting Gods” Revisited. Aphrodite Visiting Artemis, or Bride?
Dinner was tasty. Try their shrimp. More importantly, the staff were so friendly and amazing. All questions asked were answered with a smile and they really went out of their way to make an amazing experience. All top notch. If you're going to eat at the hotel then go for the buffet in the evening. A la carte is usually better in hotels but not here.
The buffet was amazing. Very very tasty. The freshly made lemon soda is a must try, very refreshing. All the staff are very friendly and polite especially Homer! There could be Some more pillows in the room, but when we asked for Some more it was no problem at all. The owner is a lovely warm lady who will do everything to make your stay the best she can. And also the rest of the staff is very friendly and helpfull. The breakfast is great with everything you need. They also have a very good buffet with a lot of fresh vegetables and a varity of fish or meat.
We like to go to different restaurants but we ate all the days in the hotel because of the Good food. The view from the restaurant is amazing, in the morning you hear only birds and the ocean. A perfect relaxing place away from the big crowds. As now understood, the beach is all stones, whereas I was hoping for clean sand. However, towels and lounge seats available. The ambience of the restaurant and view over the sea was perfect Location for hiking the wonderful Aphrodite Trail was my lure.
Room was new and basic, but glad to have the sunny balcony available. Beautiful beach and Akamas peninsula near the hotel, lovely view from the terrace and room itself.

Host was very firendly and opened, she helped us finding bike rental at good price. We were even driven by to that place. Water pressure is very low. The place serves a very nice dinner at a reasonable price. Mattress was really comfortable. The place is friendly and welcoming.
Would help to have tea making facilities in rooms. Provide information on local cultural activities, pethaps bringing in someone from CTO, maybe once a week. The staff and the manager were kind, hospitable and very helpful. I'm used to have a kettle in the room. But it's not a show killer. Excellent service, helpful and friendly staff. Great location. Citrus orchad and clean beach. Local food and wine The welcome was fabulous and we immediately felt at home. The accommodation was spotless and the position of the hotel is spectacular. Beautiful walks and beaches on your doorstep!
Well worth a visit.
We would highly recommend it. The breakfast was as simple as possible. From the sea view rooms we're supposed to see the sea. Well, it was kind of sea view. You can image it: the hotel is built perpendicular to the sea, not opposite. Poor location. My first visit and definitely last one. Well, it was January month. So, it was quiet. It not related to the hotel at all. Prefer real butter on my toast - as opposed to margarine. More fresh fruit would have been nice pomegranates, figs, Regret there was no swimming pool or fitness center. Loved the space and openness of the the place. The staff were extra helpful and friendly.
Every evening they built a wood fire in the fireplace. The hotel is very homey and the relaxed family atmosphere is extremely welcoming. The billiards table was a nice touch. The dog and cats were also a plus for us animal lovers. The family owners and staff could not do enough to make our stay very special. Its a beautiful setting with great views both sea and mountains, nice gardens even in winter. Many thanks to all at the hotel. Restaurant a la carte menu is expensive and the food poor.
There is a buffet which we did not try and instead ate at tavernas that we drove to. There is no where else to eat within walking distance. Really friendly staff, great beach, comfortable beds. Would have liked tea and coffee making facilities in the room. We would also have liked the towels to be bigger. Very friendly staff and the room was very comfortable and clean. Located between Latchi and Aphrodite's Baths, this hotel is a great choice if you want to relax. The owner and the staff is always carrying a smile on her face and made us feel really welcome.
Besides, the beach is easily accessible two minutes walking and quite clean. Ground floor room did not have great view mostly driveway and carpark or privacy and the bed was not very comfortable. Location, staff, breakfast, Homer the dog and Theodoros the cat. The garden is not well kept but most of all the cleanliness of the common areas needs a lot of effort. Facilities and furnishing in the bathroom might be improved.
The balconies might benefit from a more thorough cleaning. Location is great and one of the better pebble beaches in the area. The restaurant terrace offers marvelous views of the sea and mountains. Warm welcome and friendly staff. The rooms' decor could use a "lifting" and bathroom curtains should be changed more often. Nonetheless you can tell that everything is properly cleaned.
Excellent value for money. Generally good food. Great views of the bay from their terrace. Rooms are basic but comfortable and very clean. I am a returning customer. The bed was not very comfy and wifi was limited at places. The ward we were staying was newly build. The room was extra spacious and very clean.

Jacques-Louis David 's final work was his magnum opus , Mars Being Disarmed by Venus , which combines elements of classical, Renaissance, traditional French art, and contemporary artistic styles.
I will put the date of my seventy-five years on it and afterwards I will never again pick up my brush. Ingres's painting: the Venus Anadyomene of Apelles has been found. Paintings of Venus were favorites of the late nineteenth-century Academic artists in France. Atkinson praised it, declaring that "Mr Leighton, instead of adopting corrupt Roman notions regarding Venus such as Rubens embodied, has wisely reverted to the Greek idea of Aphrodite, a goddess worshipped, and by artists painted, as the perfection of female grace and beauty.

William Shakespeare 's erotic narrative poem Venus and Adonis , a retelling of the courtship of Aphrodite and Adonis from Ovid's Metamorphoses , was the most popular of all his works published within his own lifetime.
Lewis described an attempted reading of it as "suffocating". Aphrodite appears in Richard Garnett 's short story collection The Twilight of the Gods and Other Tales , in which the gods' temples have been destroyed by Christians. In the early twentieth century, stories of Aphrodite were used by feminist poets, such as Amy Lowell and Alicia Ostriker. In , Gleb Botkin , a Russian immigrant to the United States, founded the Church of Aphrodite , a Neopagan religion centered around the worship of a Mother Goddess , whom its practitioners identified as Aphrodite.
Aphrodite is a major deity in Wicca , a contemporary nature-based syncretic Neopagan religion. The statuette portrays Aphrodite on the point of untying the laces of the sandal on her left foot, under which a small Eros squats, touching the sole of her shoe with his right hand. The Goddess is leaning with her left arm the hand is missing against a figure of Priapus standing, naked and bearded, positioned on a small cylindrical altar while, next to her left thigh, there is a tree trunk over which the garment of the Goddess is folded.
Aphrodite, almost completely naked, wears only a sort of costume, consisting of a corset held up by two pairs of straps and two short sleeves on the upper part of her arm, from which a long chain leads to her hips and forms a star-shaped motif at the level of her navel. The 'bikini', for which the statuette is famous, is obtained by the masterly use of the technique of gilding, also employed on her groin, in the pendant necklace and in the armilla on Aphrodite's right wrist, as well as on Priapus' phallus.
Traces of the red paint are evident on the tree trunk, on the short curly hair gathered back in a bun and on the lips of the Goddess, as well as on the heads of Priapus and the Eros. Aphrodite's eyes are made of glass paste, while the presence of holes at the level of the ear-lobes suggest the existence of precious metal ear-rings which have since been lost. An interesting insight into the female ornaments of Roman times, the statuette, probably imported from the area of Alexandria, reproduces with a few modifications the statuary type of Aphrodite untying her sandal, known from copies in bronze and terracotta.
