The translation by Rabbi Simeon Singer was the most extensive English translation of the Siddur as yet published, and for this reason most editions are simply referred colloquially as The Singer Siddur.

Besides his transcription work, Varady occasionally translates prayers and contributes his own original work. As founding director of the Open Siddur Project, he also serves as an editor and website administrator of opensiddur. Simeon Singer — was an English rabbi, preacher, lecturer and public worker.
