As I have written many times, I believe we are approaching chaos in our country, the United States of America. We have given ourselves over to the lusts of the flesh and spirit. Because of this slide down into moral filth, Divine judgment will come upon our nation. I believe much blood will be shed as we seek to maintain our way of life. In any case, I think America is destined to become a third-class nation, no longer a leader of the nations of the world. This period of suffering and danger will cause a division in the Christian churches, I assume.
The church people of our country in many case are as spoiled children. They do not need to take up their cross and follow Jesus. If they will just come to church and keep on believing the Statement of Faith, they will have an enjoyable life and go to Heaven and recline in their mansion when they die. Therefore the church will be divided between the Christians who are in the pursuit of eternal life, and the church-members who attend the services for any number of reasons but who are casual in their service to the Lord Jesus.
They have no attention of suffering anything for Christ. When being a Christian no longer is a comfortable way of life for them, they will forget about serving the Lord and either leave the Christian religion altogether, or else join with those who enter one of the babylonish congregations that operate by human strength, wisdom, and talents. The Book of Revelation informs us that in the last days the babylonish congregations will come together into one huge world-wide church, perhaps having its headquarters in Iraq at the site of ancient Babylon.

The dividing of the Christians will be an opportunity for those who wish to become true Christians and seek to increase in eternal life to meet together and abandon the babylonish practices which characterize many of the churches of our day. I have no doubt there will be persecution for the sincere believers. They can expect that.

I think most Protestant church in America pose no threat to Satan, with their lawless-grace and escape-by-rapture teaching. Certainly the churches that practice fleshly manifestations of all sorts are not putting Satan in danger of losing his control of mankind. He will attempt to destroy them, just as Herod killed the little children because he believed one of them was the prophesied King of Israel. I think history will prove that fiery persecution usually succeeds in purifying the Christian churches. The sincere Christ would rather be purified than be comfortable.
That may not be true of the majority of Christian people in our day. For those who have ears today, the Holy Spirit is telling us to confess and renounce our worldliness, lusts, and personal ambition. We are to take up our cross of deferred desires and follow the Lord Jesus closely at every moment of the day and night, when we are awake. Prior to this, Christ is seen as seated at the right hand of God in Heaven. Mount Zion is the Christian Church. Ours is a time of warfare and rebellion, both in the world and in the Church as well. If we are wise we will turn from the compromising ways of the churches and seek Christ with all the diligence we can muster.
It will not be too long before the spiritual oppression will be so great that the unprepared believers will not be able to stand or help their loved ones to stand. Today is the time to look to Jesus for every decision we make, every action to take. If we keep looking to Him, He will enable us to stand in the day of terror that is approaching us in America.
Would you agree with that? Does what I have written make sense to you? I want to know Christ and the power of his resurrection and the fellowship of sharing in his sufferings, becoming like him in his death, and so, somehow, to attain to the resurrection from the dead. Philippians ,11 If the highest priority of the Apostle Paul was to attain to the resurrection from the dead, and the context of the passage suggests this is the case, then why is this passage not preached more often than it is?
But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it. The process preserves the body in liquid nitrogen for revival in a more scientifically enlightened future. Riabinina's story is among several that Italian photographer Giuseppe Nucci documents in The Pioneers of Resurrection. His ethereal, atmospheric images respectfully capture the quest for immortality in Russia, home to a visionary gaggle of cosmists, cryonicists, and transhumanists who believe in a deathless future. They preach resurrection, wear high-tech cyber-suits, and deep-freeze the corpses of loved ones they hope to meet again.
The belief that science and technology can unlock the secrets of immortality has a rich history in Russia. In the late 19th century, the cosmist Nikolai Fedorov envisioned a world where humans would not only beat death, but they'd fly around the galaxy resurrecting the scattered particles of everyone who ever lived; to house them all, they'd colonize other planets. Though the Soviet Union banned Fedorov's writings, they helped inspire its space program. Fedorov's cosmism lives on in contemporary transhumanism, which took off in Russia in the early aughts. Danila Medvedev and Valerija Pride helped found the Russian Transhumanist Movement in , with the goal of becoming post-human and, according to their website , achieving "immortality for all the inhabitants of the planet.
The process is fairly straightforward: First, cryonicists drain the blood of the "patient," and pump in a solution resembling antifreeze. The body goes into a cooling chamber beneath KrioRus's 2,square-foot hangar in Sergiyev Posad, a suburb north of Moscow, for roughly a week. Then it's immersed, head first, in a double-walled dewar of liquid nitrogen, where it hangs indefinitely until scientists figure out how to revive it. In this way, KrioRus has cryopreserved 61 people and 31 pets, including a cat, a goldfinch, and a chinchilla.
At least others have signed up. The idea that humans will one day defeat it is fascinating. Nucci got sucked into this world two years ago, when he heard a radio story about cryonics in Rome, where he lives. After researching the subject, he decided to focus his project on Russia, and the unique brand of it he found there.

But the most surreal part of all was when he tagged along with Riabinina on her journey from Bologna to Moscow to cryonize her mom. A transhumanist, Riabinina began seriously considering cryonization after Galina's diagnosis with stage III breast cancer. Her mom expressed interest, though she didn't sign a contract with a cryonics company before her death. Luckily, KrioRus didn't require she have one.
In late November, Riabinina was finally ready to take Galina's corpse to Russia. A team of experts at the morgue packed the cadaver with dry ice inside an iron box and sealed it within a wooden coffin for transport. Immortality is a popular subject in fiction , as it explores humanity's deep-seated fears and comprehension of its own mortality. Immortal beings and species abound in fiction, especially fantasy fiction, and the meaning of "immortal" tends to vary.
The Epic of Gilgamesh , one of the first literary works, is primarily a quest of a hero seeking to become immortal. Some fictional beings are completely immortal or very nearly so in that they are immune to death by injury, disease and age. Sometimes such powerful immortals can only be killed by each other, as is the case with the Q from the Star Trek series. Even if something can't be killed, a common plot device involves putting an immortal being into a slumber or limbo, as is done with Morgoth in J.
Storytellers often make it a point to give weaknesses to even the most indestructible of beings. For instance, Superman is supposed to be invulnerable, yet his enemies were able to exploit his now-infamous weakness: Kryptonite. See also Achilles' heel. Many fictitious species are said to be immortal if they cannot die of old age, even though they can be killed through other means, such as injury.
Modern fantasy elves often exhibit this form of immortality.
Other creatures, such as vampires and the immortals in the film Highlander , can only die from beheading. The classic and stereotypical vampire is typically slain by one of several very specific means, including a silver bullet or piercing with other silver weapons , a stake through the heart perhaps made of consecrated wood , or by exposing them to sunlight. The Huffington Post. The creation narrative is clear that all life originates with God. Yet the Hebrew scripture offers no specific understanding of the origin of individual souls, of when and how they become attached to specific bodies, or of their potential existence, apart from the body, after death. The reason for this is that, as we noted at the beginning, the Hebrew Bible does not present a theory of the soul developed much beyond the simple concept of a force associated with respiration, hence, a life-force.
